Sure, we’re in a resort community now, but hanging like a local at the bars, restaurants and beaches where locals go, and engaging with Costa Ricans, is the best way to have a unique and enriching experience. When you venture off the beaten tourist path – or even just slow down a bit to look all around and engage with the people around you – you find the gems that make the country unique, and find the true pura vida spirit of Costa Rica.
